Sealife and silver tiles

Every now and then, I do a search for cuttlefish on Etsy, because they happen to be my favorite cephalopod and they are far to under-represented in items I could purchase. Today's search yielded these lovely designs by Lemurgirl.

In her other shop she sells lovely pottery, and you can see the ceramics influence in these great tile designs. And come on, a cuttlefish AND a bigfin squid? What more could a cephalopod fan ask for?

so sweet and unusual! I like how the cuttlefish is breaking free from the squares with one tentacle...

Definitely with you on the cuttlefish appreciation! I have a cuttlefish tattoo and I'm going to go in soon to get it touched up a little bit and get a few things added (including some starfish, gotta show some echinoderm appreciation as well).

I love cuttlefish. They're definitely one of my favorite animals. Have you seen this PBS NOVA video? Their mating habits are pretty nuts. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/camo/
