Pacific Giant Octopus on Stellanova Jewelry

Tammy Stellanova's desire to be an artist is rooted both in her longtime fascination with the living form (she has a degree in biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz) and her passionate love for comic books and other graphical narratives.

Tammy makes wondrous jewelry inspired by the spirit of the 19th century at Stellanova Jewelry: A Catalogue of Naturalist Curios. Her Pacific Giant Octopus pendant is shown above, but be sure to browse the catalogue for her Nautilus and other delights. Follow her on Twitter: @enolarama.

Girl with Pink Tentacles

I just posted a feature on the delectable work of Gayla Partridge of 666 Photography over at my main Musings blog, but I always have to save the appropriate images for our tentacle-centric tea party.

I'm speechless, really. Everything about this image is perfect. You know you'll want to see more from Gayla.

Sealife and silver tiles

Every now and then, I do a search for cuttlefish on Etsy, because they happen to be my favorite cephalopod and they are far to under-represented in items I could purchase. Today's search yielded these lovely designs by Lemurgirl.

In her other shop she sells lovely pottery, and you can see the ceramics influence in these great tile designs. And come on, a cuttlefish AND a bigfin squid? What more could a cephalopod fan ask for?
